In bringing hope to the spirit, soul and body, we knew clean water would make an immediate impact. Roughly three million individuals do not have access to clean water in Burkina Faso. Additionally 2,800 children die annually from preventable diarrheal disease as a result of poor sanitation and lack of clean water. In 2016, we hired a local company to dig a well that was operated by a hand pump. Due to the demand on the water well from the village (and our construction projects), we had to replace the hand-pump well with a water tower, which uses solar-power to pump the water. In 2020, we are going to dig another well for the village.
We know that Jesus is the living water and He is pouring out a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:14)
