Hope for Burkina Faso Ministries recently sent $500 to our onsite Pastor, Igor. Igor has been in touch with other Pastors whose churches and communities have been affected by terrorists. Their greatest need is food. Because of the terror attacks, homes and churches have been destroyed and it is not safe to farm because of terrorists within the area. With the $500, Igor was able to purchase 13 bags of corn with each bag weighing 220.5 pounds. These bags were evenly distributed amongst 27 pastors who then shared with their communities. Food is something we take for granted, but for these displaced people it is everything. Below are a few remarks from the individuals who received the corn. Your generosity changes lives.
God has granted us grace, touched people far away from us, and put it in their hearts to think of us. We therefore thank them in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We are numerous and we have children and wives. The children do not know that there is nothing to eat. But we know that today they will be joyful thanks to God and to all of you who have provided us with something to eat.
I am very happy to thank the Lord. Truly, it was difficult for us. The pastors who are with us are also taking care of the sick and we are continually in prayer. Because we do not have a field to cultivate, due to the insecurity, the situation is very difficult. Hunger has weakened the faith of many people, because on an empty stomach we cannot pray. The price of grain is very high. This is why the situation is very difficult. And we thank the donors because thanks to your donation, we will eat this evening. It is a very great joy.
